East Side Funk would like to thank all the fans and friends that supported us in our debut year of 2017. Please continue to spread the word of the band to your friends. We hope you are enjoying our original music! We have heard many fantastic comments about the group and we are so excited to bring our show to you all.
On Friday 1/12/18, we had our fourth sold out show at Cafe Pink House where we celebrated Bobby's 60th birthday! Special thanks to all who made it such a special evening!
Four (4) New songs were introduced that night:
Better Tomorrows - This is a happy tune of hope (featuring the tasty Les Thomas on guitar). We should live not in dread of tomorrow, but hopeful and optimistic! Dedicated to and inspired by Bobby's niece, Aly Perla who going through a very serious health issue, but has a very positive attitude toward life! Please send your prayers up for Aly for a complete healing!
Run The Race - A song written by Bobby in 1992 when he played in a band Zamar which was ministry band that played for the incarcerated and for recovery programs. Song has a Yellow Jackets feel and has been come a band favorite.
Stop The Clock - Time is going by too quickly! This song is fun and funky and takes you to a place of joy and smiles! Featuring the funky and soulful sound of Paul Degen on alto sax!
Remember - A song of reflection and contemplation. This features the beautiful and expressive playing by Martin Rossip on the alto sax.
We are working more new material. There is some chatter about a new CD later this year!
Love - Joy - Groove....
